Instructional Development Stages and Design Models

Reflections

Before developing an instructional material or module, it is very important to plan first. Of the four design models discussed, the one which is the most applicable to the programs that I’m teaching is the ADDIE Model. ADDIE stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. I’m teaching BS Computer Science and BS Information Technology and it involves making programs or software. It is similar to the System Development Life Cycle but the only difference is that the SDLC has maintenance and Retirement.
